Fatima foundation envisions a society where every person has access to life’s most basic needs and enjoys all of the human rights.
Fatima Foundation is named by the family of an ambitious Afghan woman who spent most of her life inside and outside the country on educating her children. Unlike many other Afghans, Fatima not only did not allow her children to work during many hardships while in exile but also left no stone unturned to educate them despite many economic, social, religious and cultural problems and restrictions. She stood firmly against all the hardships and ensured that her children received proper high school education and upbringing. She never gave up educating her children because she knew the importance of education and that education was the only way out of the ongoing conflicts, war and destructions in Afghanistan.
After the establishment of Transitional Afghan Government, BiBi Fatima like many other Afghans repatriated to Afghanistan with her family and continued her efforts to prepare her children to get higher education, a dream she had long been hoping to achieve. As a result of her tireless efforts, her all children received undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various fields from top universities in the country.
BiBi Fatima’s commitment and ambitions were not only limited to educating her own children but she also had a dream to work with other Afghan children to encourage them to go to school and to help remove obstacles of different sorts denying access of Afghan boys and girls to education. Unfortunately life did not accompany her for long and she left this world forever taking all her dreams with herself. Luckily, BiBi Fatima’s children have established Fatima Foundation after her to achieve their mother’s dreams and to work towards brining welfare in the lives of deprived Afghans.

5. Facilitate employment opportunities for the family members of those martyred in war
6. Provide education and health facilities for children who do not have access to schools and health centres
